Don’t know if you’ve heard, but the Wallflowers, fronted once by Jakob Dylan, will be the Saturday night headliner at the 18th annual Deadwood Jam.
The annual music festival in downtown Deadwood, is set for Sept. 12 and 13. The event is staged in the Visitor Center parking lot next to Deadwood’s main road.
The Wallflowers had a number of hits in the 1990s, including “Three Marlenas” and “Sixth Avenue Heartache.” The band’s most recent album, “Rebel, Sweetheart” was released in 2005.
The rest of the two-day lineup is still coming together, but Friday night will feature Reverend Peyton and his Big Damn Band, and Irish rockers the Young Dubliners.
The annual outdoor music event brings a wide variety of musical acts to the outdoor concert stage. Last year, Big Head Todd & The Monsters headed up the Jam.

Don’t forget their best song “One Headlight”. They received two Grammys for performing and writing the song.
I have that CD still. I bought it when it first came out. I really like them. Jakob Dylan is a bit more understandable than his father.
My mom does a great impression of Bob Dylan. It sounds a little like this:
“Mblaaaah, nnnmmmlllluu, lllaaannnmmm!”
